INDIA No.1????Not yet

Well the discussion thats going through between all the cricket lovers is that does India deserve to be called the best team in the world right now??
I have my take on this...How do u call India the best team in the world??Wats the criteria??Is it only these 4 series that India have won against the likes of Australia,Srilanka and NewZealand.
I agree that India have a very strong batting line up in conditions where the ball does not swing. But when there is even a bit of help for bowlers from the pitch India fare miserably..The last ODI is a prime example.
People say its a consolation win for NZ.But if u look at the bigger picture,India have still not proven themselves in conditions which are bowler friendly.Look at the way they played in the last ODI as if our so called batting GODS didnt know what was happening??No application whatsoever and it made me feel we have a bunch of inexperienced guys which is definitely not the case.
I still beleive we are going to win the test series as well but i am pretty sure if NZ had the bowling attack that they had when we toured them i bet things would have been very different.
So ponder over this whether we can still debate whether India are No.1 or not???
Australia is still the best side in the world with SA faring badly at home...
South Africa will be a close second and India still the No .3 side in the world and not the best by any means!!!
looking forward for your responses.

Difference b/w the GOOD and the GREAT???

FInally i am into blogging too......
Well the thing that is disturbing me over the past few days is the retirement of our very own Saurav Ganguly. Not that i am a big fan of his but i am not particularly impressed with people touting him as one of the great cricketers of our country....
My question to all those people --
Do they know the difference b/w a good cricketer and a great cricketer...
Saurav for me is nothing but a mediocre player who could find a place in the indian test side just because he was the best among the other mediocre players we had and we have.
They Say that sachin and rahul are among the greats.....I agree..!!!
Both of them average more than 50 and have amassed a lot of runs...(>10000)
and on the hindside we have Saurav who is also seen as a great cricketer averages a mere 40 and just about 7000 runs...So where do we put Saurav then??
Its just a clear indication that indian public are just emotional and leave their brains behind when watching cricket.....Everyone is entitled to their opinion but by calling Saurav a great cricketer we are putting him in the league of the Sachins, the dravids and the Kapil Devs...How awkward does the previous sentence look..???
So think about this.....
